Independence Day at Esamiya Bazar is Monkey Radio India’s eclectic event, apart from republic day ofcourse. This year’s IDay experience was sugar coated with the monsoon blessing us with morning drizzle.
Dakta Dub’s set lasted for a good two and a half hours and “ten mins of bonus stuff”, as we all feel. Starting with ambient jugalbandi in Raag Darbari Kannada, the set took mystical turn across its course.
Kids from the neighbourhood nearby enjoyed their holiday chilling in the vicinity of the sound system. After the flag hoisting and the customary National anthem, they took time to enjoy our company in the town community hall.
Special mentions : Official from the municipal office who laid the white powder lines and the community hall curator Amar.
The experience shall be (tried to be) recreated through the gallery.
