DJ and critically acclaimed Electronic Music enthusiast Amul Lokanathan carves a niche every time he is behind the console. Popularly known for his versatility, his signature style of mixing has fast gained him much respect and recognition in the Indian Electronic Music scene.

Starting to spin professionally from the young age of 19, Amul learnt his technical skills with the art of mixing from Grandmaster Jo & hasn’t looked back since.

In 2007 Amul’s flawless technical skills, intrinsic track-cum-tune selection & positive attitude bagged him an envious profile as a ‘Resident DJ’ at Zenzi, a venue in Mumbai reputed for supporting and promoting cutting edge underground music and art. Amul is as local as you can get with a truely global outlook.

He has been part of the judging panel at the Palm exhibition Dj Contest 2012

Amid his musical voyage, perfectly intersecting the quality/quantity axis, DJ Amul has collaborated and performed with end number of Indian & International DJs, Producers and Musicians. He has played with bigwigs like B.L.O.T, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Shiva SoundSystem (U.K), Funk D’Void (Barcelona), Pawas Gupta (Daso&Pawas, Germany), Ravi Chari Quartet and many other Vocalists, Percussionists and Musicians.

After winning a best entry with his set contest he qualified to make his debut festival appearance at NH7 Weekender, Pune, 2012.

DJ Amul had a short stint @ F Bar Mumbai as a Resident DJ in 2012.

After founding & successfully operating Beat Station a Dj/ Producer academy in Mumbai he has mentored several known Dj’s in the current circuit through this platform.
